Den er s\u00e5 s\u00e6regen, at den ikke er til at tage fejl af. Den er ikke s\u00e6rlig almindelig, og derfor skal man lade den vokse i fred. Den er blandt andet truet af plukning\/indsamling samt fortr\u00e6ngning fra voksestederne af den invasive rynket rose (hybenrose). Navnet har den f\u00e5et af, at\u00a0planterne i \u00e6ldre tider mentes at kunne fremme den mandlige frugtbarhed og potens.<\/p>\n<p>Selv n\u00e5r planten er vissen om vinteren, pynter den i landskabet.
